Almost untouched by the wars of the twentieth century, Prague is one of the most popular cities in Europe.

Prague Discoveries have a range of excursions and tours to suit every interest providing a mixture of scenic, architectural and artistic pleasures with the opportunity to discover this incredibly beautiful city, wander around Wenceslas Square and be entertained on the medieval Charles Bridge or explore the enchanting countryside.

Prague consists of five small towns, each with its own character and treasures, spread out along both banks of the stately River Vltava, the city boasts a wealth of architecture from gothic cathedrals, baroque to art nouveau palaces, two superb opera houses, galleries, museums, extraordinarily picturesque streets, alleys and squares and a host of cafes, bars and restaurants that offers excellent value for money - its all waiting to be discovered!

Please note that castles outside of Prague close for winter from early October until late April or early May.

'Sightseeing Break' includes:

• Personally met and transferred conveniently to and from your centrally located hotel.

• Two nights + three days accommodation with check-out on 3rd day.


• On Day 1 we shall pick you up from the hotel for a 4 hour trip starting along the King's road by foot. Starting in Pohorelec, Loreta Square with Loreta, Hradcany Square, the Prague Castle (exteriors), Cathedral of St. Vitus (interior), Golden Lane, Nerudova Street, Charles Bridge, Old Town Square and Old Town Hall with the Astronomical Clock, Paris Street with Jewish Quarter.*

OR

• (For the Winter Program) We shall pick you up from the Hotel and stroll along the river bank to Prague Castle, or the Old Town Square, and continue on foot visiting the places in the Summer Program.*

• On Day 2 we have organised an excursion, in English, to Karlstejn Castle. It is one of the most important medieval castles built in the years 1348-1355 under Charles IV. It was to serve as a treasury for coronation jewels and state documents. It was altered in to the renaissance style in the 16th century and in to the pseudo gothic style at the end of the 19th century. In the Holy Cross Chapel there is a unique collection of 132 gothic desk paintings by Master Theodoricus from 1360. The Castle is situated 40 kilometres southwest of Prague.*

• On Day 3 you are free to do your own sightseeing.*


• We will organise transfer back to Prague Airport on your day of departure.

• We have Czech guides who will be able to help with all your needs, i.e. restaurant info, bars etc.

• Please send us cheques at least 4 weeks in advance, as hotel bookings require payment a month in advance. Bank to bank money transfer is also possible.

• Breakfast is included which can range from a full English Breakfast, to cold cuts, fruits... the choice is yours.

• Flight costs are NOT included in the price, but as you can see from the list above almost everything else is. Therefore upon booking please give all relevant details of your flight, (Estimated Time of Departure / which Airline / Airline number etc.). This will allow us to organise your pick up and make everything run smoothly from the moment you land to when you leave Prague.

All our tour guides are English speakers with a thorough knowledge of the city and its history.

Most of our packages are available all year round and can be customised to your specific needs.
